ELASTIC CORDS, SEWING THREADS FOR NAUTICAL COVERINGS AND SUNSHADES
In the nautical ropes, elastic cords and sewing threads we present some raw materials used by our upholstery departments for the construction of nautical coverings and sunshades and for the packaging of our marine fabrics.
These products are used in our production for many years, the highest quality, expressly chosen for nautical use. Basic 90% polyester to guarantee UV-tightness, salinity, high and low temperatures, anti-yellowing finiture. Most of the ropes on the market are made of polypropylene, notoriously this fiber does not withstand the sun, it flakes off completely in one season.
Small details of great importance, the same applies to the sewing threads guaranteed in 100% polyester. The sewing thread is a product of high importance that many overlook. If you use a cotton sewing thread it will shrink by stitching the seams, if you use it in polypropylene with the sun it will smash tearing the seam in a short time.
The Polyester sewing for nautical use does not stretch and does not shorten so the seam will remain perfectly flat, it is also very resistant to sun and salt, this yarn will also swell perfectly ensuring greater water tightness from seams.
Also the elastic cord is very important because if it is coated in the unsuitable material it is frequent that it yields elongating and losing elasticity in a short time.
